Reporting (Preview)
Reporting is an essential part of IT infrastructure documentation, enabling the presentation of aggregated information. Docusnap365 allows for targeted extraction of data from extensive sources to facilitate efficient report generation. Once a data source is configured, reports can be generated for analysis and other applications. Getting started with Reporting.
Data Sources (Preview)
Docusnap365 introduces “Data Sources”, serving as central interfaces for extracting, transforming, and storing data. These are designed for both report generation and REST API usage. Selective data analysis helps improve performance and minimize resource consumption during analyses. Quick start guide for Data Sources.
Offline Hosts
Previously, Windows systems that could not be inventoried via Active Directory were not captured. With the latest update, Offline Hosts are now recorded as a distinct object type under the “Systems” inventory segment.
The analysis of error messages during inventory scans now provides precise insights into the reasons for failures. These detailed diagnostics enable targeted problem resolution. Once successfully inventoried in a subsequent attempt, the system type automatically changes from “Offline System” to “Windows System.”
Additionally, Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) properties of the computer account are now available for all Windows systems inventoried via AD, ensuring a consistent information layer across all systems.
Dependencies
Dependencies, which were extensively tested during the preview phase, are now fully available. Once saved, dependencies appear in the Analysis section. More details can be found here.
REST API Update
The Docusnap365 REST API has been recently updated, introducing new endpoints and enhanced filtering and query options to simplify data extraction and analysis. These improvements allow users to conduct more precise queries, directly access data sources, and build custom integrations. An updated documentation guide is available to help users take full advantage of these new features.
Other Enhancements and Improvements
- The Help Center, accessible via the “Life Ring Button” in the lower right corner of Docusnap365, now includes a News section.
- Responsive UI optimizations have been implemented.
