Creating Connection Objects

1. Create a Dependency Between Two Objects

  1. Create two applications. In this example, the applications myDocusnap and Salesforce are created.
  2. Then open the application myDocusnap.
  3. Go to the Dependencies section and click “Add”.
  4. Select a target object, e.g. Salesforce (Application).
  5. Choose the Dependency Type (e.g. “Interdependent”) and optionally provide a description or mark it as critical.
  6. Click “Save”.

2. Add Connection Objects to the Relationship

  1. Navigate to Inventory - Integration and create a Rest API named myDs-REST.
  2. Switch back to the applications and open the dependency myDocusnap.
  3. Click Edit for the dependency you created.
  4. In the “Connector objects” section, click “Add”.
  5. Specify Designation, Dependency type, and Criticality.
  6. Select an object from a segment, e.g., Integrations - myDs-REST.
  7. Click Save.

Result

The connection between two applications is now enriched with one or more connection objects (e.g. API, contract, information). This enables deeper documentation of the relationship.
