Microsoft 365 Discovery

Introduction

As part of the Microsoft 365 inventory process, it is possible to comprehensively inventory Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Entra ID. To inventory information about Microsoft 365, some preparations need to be made, which are discussed in more detail in the Requirements section.

Application selection

All applications in the Microsoft 365 area are based on or require the Microsoft Entra ID resource. In addition to the mandatory Microsoft Entra ID inventory, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, or SharePoint Online can also be selected and captured.
