Printer Hardware in the “Hardware” Segment
The “Printer Hardware” section within the “Hardware” segment of Docusnap365 records all physical and functional components of printers. Printers are vital elements of IT infrastructure, providing physical copies of documents and other materials. This segment captures both physical and operational details of printers, while configurations and consumables are documented separately.
Printer Inventory and Detection
Printer inventory is conducted via SNMP or similar protocols. Based on various criteria—such as device model, supported MIBs, and specific printer features—devices are identified as printers.
Note: Automatic detection is highly reliable but not infallible.
